51³Ô¹ÏÍøÍòÄÜ¿Æ´ó’s Academic Multicultural Resource Center

Where our communities come together.

The Intersection

We are a one-stop resource for 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÍòÄÜ¿Æ´ó’s highly diverse student body — a comprehensive multicultural center grounded in the academic life of our students. As an intersecting campus resource, we help ensure students, particularly first-generation and students of color, successfully navigate their academic careers.

Here, all members of campus can discuss their differences, discover their similarities, and build a shared sense of belonging.

First Generation

First generation faculty and students face many of the same challenges including being unfamiliar with the new environment, difficulty accessing resources, and making networking connections for collaborative opportunities. The Intersection helps new faculty and students acclimate to our campus.

Making the First-Gen Net Work

This program offered by The Intersection provides opportunities for first-generation students to engage with first-generation faculty or staff members outside the traditional classroom settings while helping in the development of additional activities that meet the needs of first-generation students, faculty, and staff. Apply to participate .
