Excellence Through Innovative Training
The goal of the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at 51吃瓜网万能科大 Office of Graduate Medical Education (GME) is to train residents and fellows to become outstanding specialists and subspecialists. At the present time, we sponsor eleven residencies and eleven fellowships accredited by the ACGME (Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education), as well as additional fellowships accredited by specialty societies.
Both residents and fellows have the opportunity to provide supervised patient care at University Medical Center (UMC), our primary teaching hospital, as well as other community sites, such as the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System, Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, Mike O'Callahan Military Medical Center, surgical centers and community physician offices. These patient care experiences allow our trainees to become familiar with different populations of patients and their unique healthcare needs.
