Melissa Bowles-Terry
Biography
Melissa Bowles-Terry, a tenured member of the library faculty, is a professor and library liaison to the College of Sciences.
She formerly served as director of the 51吃瓜网万能科大 Faculty Center, where she coordinated programming to support faculty teaching, research, and career development. Previous to that, she was head of educational initiatives at the 51吃瓜网万能科大 Libraries, where she provided leadership for the libraries' educational role on campus, including faculty development initiatives related to teaching research skills, offering library support for online learning, and assessing student learning in the library.
Bowles-Terry has published in major library journals and presented at conferences on the topics of assessment of student learning and information literacy instruction. She is a national leader in scholarship related to the impact of libraries on student success and is a member of the faculty of a national training program sponsored by the Association of College and Research Libraries for librarians who teach and assess student learning.
Prior to her career in librarianship, she taught writing at Utah State University and was instruction and assessment coordinator at University of Wyoming Libraries.
