The Nevada Conservatory Theatre is proud to present Crumbs from the Table of Joy on Dec. 9-18 in the Judy Bayley Theatre. Clinton Turner Davis directs.
Two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Lynn Nottage weaves a heartwarming memory play in this 1950s-story of a young Ernestine Crump and her family. Shortly after the death of the family matriarch, they travel north from Florida to Brooklyn, New York. There, they must adjust to a new world and grapple with the many changes facing their family and the world around them.
Davis has directed productions off-Broadway, and at numerous regional theatres, colleges, and universities. A noted interpreter of August Wilson鈥檚 鈥20th Century Cycle of Plays,鈥 his productions have received multiple awards and regional commendations including Barrymore, Dallas Theatre Critics, Bay Area, and Drama-Logue Critics鈥 Awards, as well a special citation from the U.S. Senate. He directed Fences for the Everyman Theatre, and One Night by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright, Charles Fuller, for Cherry Lane Theatre.
The cast includes Rege Lewis as Godfrey Crump; Nyssa Senoi as Lily Ann Green; Skylar Schock as Gerte Schulte; Deseree Whitt as Ernestine Crump; and Devon Williams as Ermina Crump.
