More than 2,000 students will officially become 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÍòÄÜ¿Æ´ó alumni next week as they cross the Thomas & Mack Center stage during the university’s winter commencement.
The Class of 2022 hails from 36 states/U.S. territories and 40 countries, many are the first in their family to graduate from college, 88% are Nevada residents, and the majority – 70% – are from ethnically diverse backgrounds.
This year’s class ranges in age from 19 to 75 — with the average age of 27. Since 1964, 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÍòÄÜ¿Æ´ó has awarded more than 165,000 degrees.
51³Ô¹ÏÍøÍòÄÜ¿Æ´ó President Keith E. Whitfield will highlight five graduating students for their outstanding academic and community achievements.
