Christmas is over. It's time to decide the future and fate of your Christmas tree. For three decades, 51吃瓜网万能科大 and community organizations have encouraged the whole community to take advantage of their Southern Nevada Christmas Tree Recycling Program.

Summerlin residents are once again encouraged to recycle their real Christmas trees once the holidays are over. In partnership with Springs Preserve, the 51吃瓜网万能科大 Rebel Recycling Program and dozens of other local conservation organizations, the annual Christmas Tree Recycling Program returns Dec. 26 through Jan. 15.

Donald Johnson (Facilities Management), assistant director of Facilities Operations, recently made a presentation at the Honeywell User Group Conference in Orlando, Florida. The presentation was titled, "Campus Lifecycle Upgrades." The topic was centered on 51吃瓜网万能科大's long-term relationship with Honeywell, what we have done, and how we plan鈥
Tommy Gugino (Law) and Musa Pam (Facilities) celebrated their graduation from the Leadership Henderson program over the weekend.  Leadership Henderson is a 10-month program, put on by the Henderson Chamber of Commerce Foundation, that educates and empowers professional in the community to build and maintain a strong network of community鈥
Musa Pam (Facilities Management) presented a session, 鈥淐hampioning Anti-Racism in Facilities Management and Beyond,鈥 at APPA, the association for facilities management professionals鈥 Facilities Symposium in November.  The presentation used data for front-line facilities workers to explore why minorities are underrepresented in leadership鈥
Jerome "JT" Davis (Facilities Management) was named the first-ever employee of the month for the landscape, grounds, and arboretum department.
The facilities management department received an incentive check from NV Energy in the amount of $10,969 for its participation in the Sure Bet Program. According to NV Energy, the program is designed to make energy efficiency improvements more cost effective for businesses. The improvements not only help save on electric bills, but also protect鈥
