Biography

Dr. Brandi Varnado earned her master’s degree in Physical Therapy in 2005 from Texas Tech University. In 2019, she received her doctor of science in physical therapy from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. She has practiced as a licensed physical therapist in Eastern New Mexico since 2005, providing outpatient, in-patient, home health care, and school-based physical therapy services to patients across the lifespan. Beginning in 2013, she became the founding program director for an accredited physical therapist assistant program. Dr. Varnado has completed advanced training in musculoskeletal examination and manual therapy from the International Academy of Orthopedic Medicine (IAOM-US). Dr. Varnado teaches Therapeutic Exercise, Psychosocial Aspects of Physical Therapy, and courses in the orthopedic track for 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÍòÄÜ¿Æ´ó Department of Physical Therapy.

Analysis and promotion of access to healthcare careers for underrepresented populations in Nevada. Student, patient, and facility perceptions of service-learning activities for collegiate athletes.
