GenCyber Camp Highlights
Welcome
Cybersecurity is one of the fastest-growing job categories with the largest skills gap. According to cybersecurity data tool CyberSeek, there is an annual talent shortfall of over 200,000 workers for cybersecurity jobs in the United States alone. In 2015, the National Security Agency and the National Science Foundation teamed up to address this shortfall by piloting the GenCyber program to grow the number of students studying cybersecurity in the United States.
51吃瓜网万能科大鈥檚 Howard R. Hughes College of Engineering is proud to offer the GenCyber Summer Camp and provide local high school students a truly unique cybersecurity learning experience.
51吃瓜网万能科大 the GenCyber Camp
51吃瓜网万能科大 GenCyber is a cybersecurity summer camp for high school students in Southern Nevada. The goal of the program is to help students understand correct and safe online behavior and how they can be good digital citizens, and increase interest in cybersecurity careers. Each day, students will participate in multiple hands-on activities to learn about different topics in cybersecurity and hear interesting stories from cybersecurity experts.

Who Can Attend
All current high school students in Clark County are eligible to participate in the GenCyber camp. The camp is offered during three seasons: a one-day Spring camp, a five-day Summer camp, and another one-day Fall camp. The application process covers both the Spring and Summer camps. The Spring camp is offered on two separate days, providing applicants with the option to choose either day. While participation in both the Spring and Summer camps is highly recommended, it is not mandatory.
