Writers can schedule appointments up to one (1) hour before the desired consultation time via My51吃瓜网万能科大 by following the directions below or anytime by calling the Writing Center at 702-895-3908.

The Writing Center allows up to three (3) appointments per week. You may not schedule back-to-back consultations unless you have a specific accommodation through the DRC and have had documentation sent to us. Writers can book appointments up to three (3) weeks in advance.

If you need to cancel an appointment, we ask that you cancel at least one (1) hour before your scheduled consultation. Up to an hour before the appointment, you may cancel the appointment online. If canceling less than one (1) hour before, you must call the Writing Center to cancel your appointment.

If you do not show up to your appointment and the appointment is not canceled, you are marked as a No Show. After two (2) No Shows, you will no longer be able to make appointments online and must call us to schedule any consultations for the remainder of the semester.

Scheduling an Appointment with the 51吃瓜网万能科大 Writing Center

All appointments with the 51吃瓜网万能科大 Writing Center will be scheduled through the Advising Homepage in Rebel Success Hub. Once you have signed into Rebel Success Hub, please view the video instructions or read the written instructions below to learn how to schedule an appointment.

Faculty and staff: If you are not registered as a student in the current semester, you must contact the Writing Center before scheduling your first appointment so we can have OIT鈥檚 Digital Strategy team set up an account for you.

  1. Click on the Advising and Student Support tile from the main Rebel Success Hub homepage.
  2. Once on the Advising Home page, click on the red Schedule an Appointment button in the top center of the screen. This will open a new window to start the process.
  3. Click on the Teams tab.

To options appear below the search bar: "Assigned" or "Teams." A filter on the right of the screen states "All Topics" and below the filter a big button reads "51吃瓜网万能科大 Writing Center."
  1. Next, you will select the appointment topic and subtopic.
  2. On the next screen, select a date and time for your appointment. The first date shown is the first appointment available.
    1. You can filter - by clicking the filter icon in the upper right by:
      1. Location (the way in which you will meet a consultant: in person or virtual)
      2. People on this Team (consultants who have availability set up)
    2. You can choose a different date by clicking on the red calendar date in the center of the screen and inserting your desired date.
"Select Date and Time" Screen that displays the multiple times on different days that the user can select to make their appointment.
  1. You can see the name of the consultant under the available appointment times for a given date. Once you have selected a date and time block, you will be taken to the next window where you must enter some details about your appointment and select the location (the way in which you would like to meet with your advisor: in person, phone, or virtual).

The type of consultant also displays on the right side of the screen. Under both of these sections, a comment section is present that states "What would you like to talk about?" Lastly, a button appears at the bottom right hand side of the screen where the user can select the location of the appointment
  1. Click the red Schedule <<location>> Appointment button. This will finalize your appointment request. You will get an email confirmation with the appointment details but can always come back to this page to view your Upcoming Appointments.
  2. Should you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, you can do so right back on the Advising Homepage.
  3. Bring two (2) printed copies of the piece of writing you want to work with to your in-person consultation, as well as any prompt/assignment instructions, notes, sources, or ideas that would aid the conversation about your paper. You may print in the Campus Resource building computer lab room 228.
