Ever heard of ChatGPT? What about automated grading systems? Zotero?
These are just a few of the topics you can dive into at the Best Teaching Practices Expo. This year鈥檚 event will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, 2023, in the Student Union Ballroom with lunch provided. You can here to reserve your spot.
As the signature event of the 51吃瓜网万能科大 Faculty Center, the expo brings together faculty to present posters on teaching strategies that effectively enhance student learning. Each poster will identify a student need or learning gap and describe how the teaching practice can benefit students.
"We have so many exceptionally talented faculty here at 51吃瓜网万能科大, and this annual expo is an excellent opportunity to celebrate them and to see just a few of the creative approaches they鈥檙e utilizing in their classrooms," said Chris Heavey, executive vice president and provost.
This year鈥檚 posters (21 in total) come from a wide range of departments and colleges. With themes spanning from online teaching, affective learning, collaborative work, and teaching tools all the way to assessment and career readiness, you鈥檙e sure to walk away with some new (not so secret) tricks up your sleeve!
Be sure to also check out the three distinguished poster presenters and their research in affective learning, assessment, and online teaching.
