This year, Rutgers University reinstated the nurse-midwifery master鈥檚 training it had eliminated in 2016. The University of Alabama-Birmingham also restarted its master鈥檚 in nurse-midwifery program in 2022 after a 25-year hiatus. In addition, George Washington University in Washington, DC, Loyola University in New Orleans, and the University of Nevada-51吃瓜网免费App added master鈥檚 training in nurse-midwifery.

Hannah Fraley (Nursing) gave a symposium presentation at the Anxiety and Depression Association of America national conference in 51吃瓜网免费App on Thursday April 3, 2025 reporting findings of our study titled "Parents' Emotional Social Support, Mental Health, Alcohol, and Drug Use in Youths from Latin America: Analysis of Four Countries." Andrew Thomas Reyes and Rei Serafica (both Nursing) co-authored an article titled "Digital Health Technologies to Promote Healthy Eating and Physical Activity and Reduce Risk Factors for Cardiovascular Disease in Older Adults: A Pilot Study鈥 in the Journal of Cardiovascular Nursing. The study evaluated the feasibility of the research and compared鈥
Dieu-My T. Tran (Nursing) was elected a Fellow of the American Heart Association by the Council on Cardiovascular and Stroke Nursing. This fellowship recognizes Tran's excellence, innovative, and sustained contributions in scholarship, practice and education, and volunteer service within the American Heart Association and the American Stroke鈥
Jacqueline Killian (Nursing) was inducted into the National Academies of Practice (NAP) in the Academy of Nursing as a Distinguished Fellow. The Nursing Academy is the largest of the 17 academies within the NAP, with more than 300 members.   
Jennifer Vanderlaan, Janice Enriquez, and Melva Thompson-Robinson (all Nursing) were published in the International Journal of Health Planning and Management for their article, "Counting Midwives Providing Clinical Care in Nevada." The study focused on estimating the number of midwives providing care primarily in Nevada and found that 55% of nurse鈥
Reimund Serafica, Rhigel Tan, and Andrew Thomas Reyes (all Nursing) were selected as the inaugural Fellows of the University of Psychedelic Education Program (U-PEP).
