Classified Employee Evaluations
- Prior to conducting a review with the employee, the supervisor will submit a draft to the School of Medicine Human Resources Department for review.
- Once reviewed, the supervisor should schedule a meeting with the employee to discuss the evaluation and go over the Work Performance Standards.
- After the discussion, the employee will need to sign and mark if they agree or disagree with their evaluation. If the employee disagrees, they can request a review from Human Resources/Employee Relations.
- The supervisor and the employee then sign the form.
- The School of Medicine Human Resources Department obtains the appointing authority signature, logs and sends it to the main 51吃瓜网万能科大 Human Resources Office prior to the due date.
Receiving Notifications That A Review Is Due
If you are the supervisor of a classified employee, notifications are sent to your email informing you when evaluations are due.
Probationary employees receive evaluations for 3 months, 7 months, and 11 months. The School of Medicine Human Resources Department also sends out reminders to supervisors.
Supervisors of classified employees should have completed training within 6 months of assuming supervisory responsibilities.
Administrative Faculty Evaluations
The School of Medicine administrative faculty annual reviews are due to the School's Human Resources Department in mid-January. The School's Human Resources Department sends out announcements to supervisors in November to begin the process. Position Descriptions (PDQ鈥檚) should be evaluated during this time.
Employees with four or more months of service during the year (hired on or before September 1st) should be evaluated on job performance and goal accomplishment. Employees with less than four months of service should complete the self-evaluation to establish goals for the ensuing year.
Supervisors are responsible for establishing a due date for self-evaluations and meeting with employee(s) to discuss their evaluation and review goals.
Once the evaluations have been completed and forwarded to the School of Medicine Human Resources Department (kristen.lowrimore@unlv.edu) to obtain the reviewing officer's signature, the School's Human Resources Department submits the reviews to the main 51吃瓜网万能科大 Human Resources Office by March 1st.
